The lovely ladies of environmentally-concerned Bosnia were in Visoko this past week to shoot a benefit film and compete for the title of Eco Queen 2006. The film was shot atop the pyramids to a loud rumba soundtrack and much hip swaying, and is intended to raise awareness and funds, not to mention eyebrows. The end of the contest was marked by a fashion show at Motel Piramida Sunca, at which Foundation directors Semir Osmanagic and Mario Gerussi were guests of honor. |

A group of Malaysian investors, led by former Prime Minister Dr. Mahatir Mohamad, visited the Bosnian Valley of Pyramids today and met with Semir Osmanagic. The group visited the Pyramid of the Moon, and was briefed by Mr. Osmanagic on the terrace’s emerging characteristics. |

Representatives of leading Bosnia and Herzegovina companies such as Bosnalijek, Hidrogradnja, Vispak, Prevent, Tvornica cementa Kakanj, Meggati, Sunce osiguranje, Bosna osiguranje, Krivaja Zavidovići, Rudnik uglja Kakanj, Unsko-sanske Šume and Alpina took a tour of the two pyramids currently in excavation. Also, Mr. Goh Hun Sun, manager of the Malaysian Company BERJAYA, joined the tour. |

Mondays are days off for the diligent teams working the excavations. Today, Semir Osmanagic met with a number of guests and tourists including: 40 members of the woman’s association “Horizon” from Sarajevo, and delegations from the coal mine “Banovici,” the Federation Army, Ilijas Minicipality, the Oriental Institute of Sarajevo, the Institute for Languages of Sarajevo, the Institute for Urbanism and Architecture of Sarajevo, the Institute for Economy of Tuzla, the Institute for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Sarajevo and the Instituto Nazionale per il Commercio Estero (the Institute for Foreign Trade of Italy). Also, a Turkish journalist from television station TRT accompanied the sightseeing tour. |

Several excavation sites on Pyramid of the Sun are being kept active; from the excavation site no. 1 a samples of organic materials were taken and will be sent for analysis. Also, samples of red-coloured sandstone will be sent for additional analysis. |
