Thermal satellite analysis indicates a bosnian pyramid

The publicly available data from the ASTER instrument at Terra satellite, which represents a model of co-operation between the American NASA and Japanese Government, and has been in the Earth's orbit since 1999, have provided further evidence of the Bosnian Valley of Pyramids in Visoko.

Does a Bosnian Pyramid exist?

A THERMAL SATELLITE ANALYSIS INDICATES THAT THERE ARE FOUR “ANOMALIES“ IN THE VALLEY OF VISOKO

Amer Smailbegovic, Ph.D., a geophysicist from Nevada, closely cooperating with the research effort at the Arcaheological Park - Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation, has conducted an independent analysis of spaceborne thermal infrared data, which had led him to a hypothesis that the hills of Visocica and Pljesevica, as well as two other mounds, represent distinct thermal anomalies.

Namely, according to Dr. Smailbegovic " according to apparent thermal inertia observed, these mounds appear to cool down faster than their immediate surroundings, indicating that their composition may be notably different. Such observations could be expected from the artificial or artificially enhanced structures comprised of lesser density materials, which also may contain internal porosities, cavities or passages resulting in an increased irradiation of energy."

While the results are still to be confirmed with ground observations, they are consistent with the previous results of the geological report about Visocica Hill, made by geologist Nadjija Nukic, suggesting that the "pyramid" edifice may be erected from hand-shaped sandstone plates, bound together with a cement-like binder.

A possible discovery of the third pyramid (“The Pyramid of the Bosnian Dragon“) and eventually of the fourth one, would definitely confirm this excavation site as the most important one in Europe.

Semir Osmanagic, the President of the Foundation's Board of Directors, points out that the International Board of the Foundation has been established, gathering most reputable historians, anthropologists and archaeologists. The aim of the International Board will be to validate the results of the research at the international level. He added that the experts from several countries (USA, Australia, Austria, e.t.c.) will join the existing teams of local archaeologists, geologists, speleologists and geophysicists.

Finally, Osmanagic announces that the envisaged duration of the works at Visocica site will be extended to include the period from mid-April to early November 2006.

“The Archaeological Park: The Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundation is a non-profitable, non-governmental and non-political organisation for protection of cultural heritage in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Foundation is run by its Steering Board consisting of volunteers only. The Foundation is funded through sponsorship and grants provided by institutions, companies and individuals. Its first project, which is currently the largest geological and archaeological project in Europe, is excavation, restoration and permanent preservation of the Pyramidal Complex in the Valley of Visoko.
