The scientists against the common sense and healthy minds
The Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids will serve as the biggest test of knowledge to all worlds’ scientists, and decoding its meaning will require a lot of knowledge, experience, creativity and open minds. Let’s look at the reactions of those academics that first responded and complained about us, refusing to accept any possible ideas to conduct the research. Professor Garret Fagan from the Penn State University had stated for the London’s Times magazine, quote: “It’s as if someone were given permission to bulldoze Stonehenge to find secret chambers of lost ancient wisdom underneath.” He also said that the dig will destroy bona fide archaeological sites in the area.

He is known as the big defender of the traditional archaeology and is caught up in his war with the new and young minds, Pseudo archaeologists, which is his favorite expression. He ruthlessly likes to attack the independent researchers such as Graham Hancock and others.

Professor Fagan voiced his first complaint on April 15th 2006, when we first started excavating on the Pyramid of the Sun. A month later, The Federal Ministry of Culture had formed its own expert team, who witnessed that the Foundation’s team was excavating hundreds of meters away from the midlevel city, in other words, not destroying the archaeological monument. Did the professor Fagan ever apologize for his statements, the answer is no. What happened to the professional integrity Pr. Fagan?

The Professor of archaeology, Curtis Runnels, whose specialty is prehistory of the ancient Greece and the Balkans –currently teaches at Boston University, states that the Balkan was covered by ice during the period of 27.000 BC and 12.000 BC, and had an extremely dry and cold climate with the presence of glaciers in the mountainous regions. This expert is claiming that because of such weather conditions, the civilizations could not exist in Central Bosnia, nor build the pyramids. There is the problem with Pr. Runnel’s theories. First, the area of today’s Bosnia and Herzegovina, was never covered by the ice blanket during the last ice age. All areas, north from Austria, including Germany, Poland were covered by ice, which does not include Bosnia and Adriatic region. Not only that the Balkan was not covered by ice, but the climate in these regions was not extremely cold. The average temperature in these regions was only 5 degrees cooler than today’s, which was a very pleasant temperature for these regions. Therefore, there is no wonder that this part of Balkans was an oasis of European cultures.

Anthony Harding, president of The European Association of Archaeologists, wrote to the editors of London Times and called Osmanagic’s hypothesis “wacky and absurd” and expressed his “concern” that Osmanagic might be ruining Bosnian rich archaeological heritage. He also called Mr. Osmanagic an outsider that is looting Bosnia of its monuments.

Professor Harding lets look at the photo of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun (taken from the helicopter). The Pyramid has a perfect geometrical shape. Does this photo remind you of rectangle,, circle, some natural hill or the pyramid with four triangular sides? Why would you call something an absurd that we can see with our own eyes? The elevation of Visočica, is the actual Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun.

The fact, that all four sides of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun are perfectly aligned with the compass points (and all world’s important pyramids were built this way), than it would be clear to every student that these hypothesis are not absurd, but valid.

Those critics that had accused us of “looting our heritage” turned out to be wrong. Because of these critics, our Foundation had started to report all the news on daily basis, in order to inform the public about our daily activities. There is no “looting”, just the pure science and research. Perhaps, the concept of being open could have hurt Mr. Harding’s feelings? We are well aware that the Bosnian valley of the Pyramids is not only ours, but the world’s heritage, not the property of the scientific elite. Everybody is welcome, which is the reason we are not charging our visitors the entry tickets.

Dr. Robert Schoch (teaches at Boston University), had concluded in his preliminary reports “that there was a natural geological explanation for all proofs that Osmanagic claims are artificial, man made”.

Let see if we can trust to our healthy minds or the famous American geologist, who indebted archaeology with his claims about the age of the Egyptian sphinx. Let’s look at the more photos of the stone blocks from the northern side of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun. With our naked eyes, we can see perfect rectangular shapes, flat blocks on all six sides, six times 90 degrees, and rectilinear connection among the blocks. There are four rows of blocks on top of each other, in other words, the typical construction. Who builds such objects, humans of course, not nature? The civil Engineering institute from Tuzla (GIT) had conducted its own analysis and concluded that the cement blocks consist of the extremely sturdy material, the best type of the concrete..

Let’s look at these perfectly shaped stone blocks, which make up the terrace on the south side of the Moon Pyramid. The layer of these blocks is visible: on the very top, there is a wavy pattern, which is visible on several sites of the pyramid, and on the bottom, the large blocks, which irresistibly remind us of the poured concrete. Between these blocks, the connecting material was found, which was also analyzed by GIT, and the analysis confirmed the material to be identical to the material found on the Sun pyramid. Therefore, the same builders were using the same constructing material, same methods and perhaps, at the same time.

The next photo is showing the vertical wall, which is found between the western and northern side of the Moon Pyramid. The treated sandstone plates are laid on top of each other. Again, we asked Dr. Schoch who had built this, the nature or human hand (and this was found at one meter of depth).

Thousands of people had the opportunity to witness the large stone blocks, which make up the following terrace on the west side of the Moon Pyramid, to be the work of human hands. Why then, would professor Schoch and others claim that all this was created by nature?

The Geologist Paul Heinrich, from Louisiana State University also claims that the structures are the work of nature: “Naturally fractured sandstone rocks, which had caused the jointing, which Osmanagić is mistakenly interpreting as separate blocks of the pyramid”. Heinrich also says “that among my incorrect conclusions, Osmanagić is also mentioning natural spherically shaped stones, which he claims were man made stone balls” In addition to that, Heinrich stated “ Osmanagić incorrectly sees the underwater carbonates as the mortar or glue material” and at the same time Heinrich is claiming that “ so-called tunnels which Osmanagić found, could be anything , perhaps the old mine shaft, or the natural caves.” At the end he concludes that the best analogy he could give is “that of Chimera” a mythological creature composed of a mosaic of parts- unrelated component, and in this case, human-made and natural, erroneously together”.

When I read such statements, I begin to wonder how many important archaeological sites could have been incorrectly viewed as the natural formations, thanks to such “experts”. Perhaps, we should ask those that work in construction to evaluate the stone block if its man made or a natural formation, since they seem to know more about the construction of the cement material. And on our locations, we had thousands of experts in this field, who beyond the doubt believe that they found concrete blocks. They evaluated the carbonate joints, and among them was also The Civil Engineering Institute from Tuzla. Judging differently, from a distance, Dr Heinrich, without inspecting the locations, claims that these carbonates are the product of nature. Of course, Dr. Ali Barakat, the geologist from Egypt agreed with the Institute from Tuzla. Dr. Ali Barakat had spent 42 days on these locations and confirmed that the connecting material used was identical to the material used on Egyptian temples.

Heinrich says that “so-colled tunnels” which I had found “could be anything”. First of all, these are not “so-called tunnels”. If Dr. Heinrich ever used the scientific methods, he would have seen that tunnels really exist. We are talking here about the complex of the underground tunnels with a number of intersections at the angles of 45 and 90 degrees, and ventilation shafts that bring the air in, which indeed proves the existence of the constructed complex. However, Heinrich prefers to claim that “so-called tunnels” could be natural caves or mine shafts”. The mining expert teams from Zenica, Breza and Banovici had confirmed in April that these were no mining shafts, but the man made tunnels, proving Dr. Heinrich wrong again. On the other hand, our hypothesis is that the complex of underground tunnels connects all the pyramids in the Visoko’s Valley.

This photo with the youth from Visoko was taken in one of the tunnels, confirming that these tunnels were known to exist for decades, so “Osmanagić did not discover these so-called tunnels”. It is also obvious that this is not the “natural cave”.

So far, several megalithic blocks have been discovered, shaped by human hand, which confirm the importance of these tunnels in the distant past. Most likely, they served for ceremonial functions, not the mining dig.

Dr. Heinrich’s evaluation about the stone spheres in Bosnia and Herzegovina was especially interesting: “Natural spherical rocks, not man made, as Osmanagic claims” If Dr. Dr. Heinrich could go back to his school days, and read the books again, he would probably learn that certain materials in nature never come in spherical shape. Such case is with Granite, which never comes in nature as the stone ball.

Let’s look at these perfect stone balls, found in Teočak and near Tuzla.

There are 8 such stone balls, having same dimensions, perfectly shaped, and made of Granite. Perhaps, Dr. Heinrich should first visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, before making any premature judgments?

In addition to this, there are several other stone balls; such is Maglaj, or dozens of stone balls in Zavidovici, where the Foundation had opened its new archaeological park

These stone balls are prehistoric phenomena, obviously made by intelligent hands. It seems that these geologists had learned that everything was made by nature. Thankfully, the approach of our healthy minds hovers over their titles and sloppy evaluations.

Our response to all these scientists is simple; with our hard work, excavations and analysis, we will keep on proving our hypothesis. Meanwhile, everybody is welcome to visit the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids.

Alongside of this topographic illustration of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, our message is: Let’s keep going forward!
