The Federal TV station from Bosnia and Herzegovina continued its filming of the scientific documentary in Bolivia, titled; “In search of the mysterious civilizations”. Mr. Amel Baftić (who did all the filming), accompanied Mr. Semir Osmanagic on the three day visit to the archaeological locations in the northwestern Bolivia, 4000 meters above the sea level.
The remains of the extraordinary city of Tiahuanaco (Also known as Tiwanaku-original name was Taypikhala, which means “the stone in the center”) remain the largest enigma to all historians. The evidence suggests that the city had belonged to the mysterious civilization from the distant past. The megalithic blocks which weigh in tons are making up the Kalasasaya temple, which is precisely oriented to the cardinal directions. The step terraced pyramid Akapana is constructed of the megalithic blocks, which are beautifully cut and precisely joined. There are two possibilities; some type of the machinery took place or the volcanic eruptions molded these blocks. The 15 ton “Gateway of the Sun” is breath taking, and is broken right down the center. Its upper portion is deeply carved with beautiful and intricate designs, including a human figure, condors, elephants and symbols. Directly in the center of the gate is the so-called "Sun-god," Viracocha, with rays shooting from his face in all directions. In the near vicinity, there is the Lake Titicaca, hiding the city on the bottom of its waters, possibly sunken 12000 years ago. The Archaeoastronomical research of the Kalasasaya temple tells us that this city was built 17000 years ago. The language of the local Aymara natives is considered to be the oldest language. The latest computerized syntax analyses of this language suggest that the language was artificially created, for the translating purposes and communications with the locals. There is a striking similarity between the Akapana and the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun; both of them are precisely oriented to the cardinal points, rectangular base, and megalithic blocks (poured on site) are covering the layers of clay. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
