Solistices arrives  at Bosnian Valley of Pyramids

High temperatures on a first summer day did not slow down the excavations on the Bosnian Pyramids . On the Pyramid of Sun, on the excavation site no. 15 (edge of north and east side) the surface layer is continued, while the excavation site no. 16 (east side of the Pyramid) is continued to be prepared for excavations.

The archeologist Nancy Gallou has been in charge today to works of Pyramid of the Moon, excavation site no. 12, doing fine works of clening of block of stone forming a vertical wall. Additional six excavation locations has been activated on Pyramid of the Moon revealing the tiles of sand stone. These excavation sites are positioned horizontally, proving the continuity of existance artificial terraces of Pyramid of the Moon.

Each day, the Bosnian Vally of Pyramids is visited by a renown international TV station, including the German state television. Namely, the crew of the programme «Welt der Wunder», consisting of Regin Schwald, the producer, Markus Fielder, cameraman and Thomas Heckner visited the Plateau of Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, visiting all excavation sites and interviewed the President of the Board of Foundation, Mr. Semir Osmanagic. According to them, their the reportage is being produced at the request of their viewers, over 3 million of them. They also visited Pyramid of the Moon during their stay.

The Delegation of Zenica-Doboj Canton consisting of Dr. Sreto Tomašević, Minister for Education, Science with his deputy ministers, Mrs. Munevera Selmanović, Director of Pedagogical Institute – all were met by Mr. Osmanagic and Prof. Hodovic.

In the afternoon, Mr. Osmanagic met with representatives of the Directorate of European Integrations, Mr. Srdjan Ljubojevic, deoputy Director, as well as Kenan Tahmidzic, Zara Halilovic, Arnold Dutz, leader of «Twinning Light programme», Natasa Cvetek and Lejla Letic. Besides, the representatives of Faculty of Agriculture paid a visit, too.

Dr. Asim Ibrahimagić, assistent Director of the Agency for Work and Emoployment BiH was particulary impressed by the findings on Pyramid of the Moon. The same impressions were expressed by Vinko Ćuro, Director general of PROMO International Grupe.

The founder of the Institute for Geology in Tuzla, Mr. Selim Beslagic, visited with his associates the most maginificent geo- archeological location in the world. Obviously impressed, Mr. Beslagic promised the cooperation between the Institute and Foundation. Scientists and experts of this Institute are holders of international certificate ISO 9000. A part of analysis will be taken to Slovenia for examination of stone block and adhesive materials.

The afternoon and evening gathered the experts of the Foundation – a session of Board of Doirectors was held, while geologists, led by Dr. Andretta researed the vally of river Fojnica, in search of iondicators that may determine the age of Bosnian Pyramids . Namely, the team has found river sediments, aged between 8.000-15.000 years, covering parts of Pyramid of the Dragon. Investigations in this respect will be continued by several geologists from Italy during the Summer.

The President of Board of Directors held a working meeting with the President and several ministers of Federation Government. At the same time, international expert team, dr. Amer Smailbegovic, a geophysist, geologists Dr. Dario Andretta, Dr. Aly Barekat and engineer Ibrica Repisti, held a prezentation to Mr. Mike Robinson, Director of UGS.

Visoko is today visited by a large number of guests who came to enjoy the longest day in a year and observe the solistice.
