After a great success at the international festival for ecology and tourism in Split, and winning a charter award, the city of Visoko is attracting even greater attention in the neighboring Croatia. Presentation was held today in Karlovac (Croatia) about Bosnian Pyramids, including the promotion of Mr. Osmanagic's books, «Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids» and «Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun» This event took place at the city theatre „Zorin Dom” with more than 200 people in attendance.

During the two hour presentation, people from Karlovac showed a great interest and knowledge about the research results found on archaeological sites in Visoko.


Among the visitors to the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids:

Director of Tourist Agency «Kuk», Mr.Vaso Bosiljcic, who is also a member of a Managing board of Tourist Association- Bosnia and Herzegovina, president of Hospitality Association from Opatija (Croatia), Mr. Milan Sesar, and director of “Asfaltgradnja Firm Visoko”. Representatives from the Chinese Embassy also toured the active sites, including the members of “Nova Nekropola” from Zagreb, representatives from “Revidens” firm and its director Nenad Simunic from Croatia, professors and students from Vogosca high school, elementary school “Umihana Čuvidina” from Sarajevo, and many others.

On the Pyramid of the Moon, work continued on locations # 19, 20 and 22. Drilling also continued on the very top of the pyramid, and current depth reached is 42 m.


Loc.# 20 was widened in S-E direction, and cleaning of the profile took place on loc. # 19.


Loc# 22 – third layer of stone blocks was excavated, and presence of massive blocks is noticeable below 94 cm of thick stratified layer (made of clay and marl). Below the last layer, the substance of same material is visible. Work continued here towards the west.

On the Pyramid of the Sun, recording continued on several locations, which was done by a team of geo-physicists from Geological Institute from Belgrade. In the past three days, geophysical methods of geo-radar, seismic and micro vibration methods were used for research of the terrain of the Sun pyramid. The results will be known after a detailed analysis that will be conducted at the institute.
