More Excavacations Progress on the Pyramids

 

 

Professor of geomorphology, Ibrahim Bustalija visited today the plateau of the Pyramid of the Moon.

 

 

Professor Bustalija and Dr. of geology, Enes Ramovic, will be conducting geomorphologic analysis of the Pyramid of the Moon and the Sun.

 

 

 

 

 After a visit to the Pyramid of the Moon, Professor Bušatlija visited the north side of the Pyramid of the Sun. Mr. Nicholas S.T. Moller, the president of „Global Institute for New Energy Technologies” and Velimir Abramović, university professor of cinematography in Belgrade and The United States, were also among the visitors there.

 

A group of volunteers of the Youth Forum from Kakanj, joined the Foundation’s team on the location # 20 of the Pyramid of the Moon. EUFOR and NATO officers also visited the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids.



Among other visitors; The Alliance of  Women “Osman Djafić” from Prijedor, UG „Oaza“, Mostar, high school students from Bona and Sarajevo , manager “GS TMT” from Travnik, Kurt Kopruner, and university professor Mizue Motoyoshi, from Kuonamoto, Japan.



Excavations continued today on the Pyramid of the Sun, on locations # 4c, 5-11, and 12. Thanks to Mr. Hilmo Hajduković from Ilijaš, and his company SCHAEFER, a special camera was used for recording the ruptures on the Pyramid of the Sun (excavation site # 12). Because of the large amount of the waste material, it was not possible to penetrate more than 4 m. into the depth.



New sites were also excavated on location #1 of the Pyramid of the Moon, with the dimensions of 2x1, 5x1, 5 m.



Location # 20 has been widened towards the southeast, and the stone blocks are descending at 30 cm in relation to the highest northern point of this location.



On the location # 8, towards the depth of quadrant F, there is a steep slope of the base level, which is towards the north. Also, there is a layer of Marl on top of it.



Continuous excavations are also on the location # 7, and are going now towards the southwest, all the way to the end of the quadrant A.



A layer of Humus and sub humus is visible, without any noticeable structures. Location # 9 is expanding towards the north.
