Excavation Sites Opened on East Side of the Bosnian Pyramid of Sun

 The ongoing works on the Pyramid of the Moon

Excavations on the Bosnian Pyramid of Sun and Moon are being carried out as planned. Currently, the excavations on the Pyramid of the Sun include the clearing of surface layers on excavation sites no.9 and 16 on the western face, and excavation sites no. 14 and 15 on the eastern face.

The ongoing works on the Pyramid of the Moon include the cleaning of sandstone on excavation site no.4, and the preliminary excavation of sites on the east side of the pyramid, revealing blocks of sandstone only 40 cm below the ground. These blocks are steep and have a serpentine shape. This location will be excavated further to see if there is a continuous stream of blocks.
