Bosnian Pyramid Project Attracts More International Attention

"European pyramid fever" is spreading further and further afield

As the Bosnian Pyramid project continues to grow, this "European pyramid fever" is spreading further and further afield. Specifically to Australia and Switzerland, from where media outlets have recently sent reporters. Amra Agovic is a reporter from the Australian mega-network SBS, with 16 affiliate stations nationwide.

Ms. Agovic will be in Visoko for a month, disseminating the project for her listeners half a world away.

Martin Woker, a journalist with the news magazine Neue Zurcher Zeitung, also began his reportage of the Bosnian Pyramids today with a tour of the Pyramid of the Moon. Semir Osmanagic, in a short interview with Ms. Agovic, helped to explain the project's appeal in practical terms: "People feel the project belongs to them, not the elite scientists [of the world]."

On the Pyramid of the Moon, excavation sites 1 and 8 were active. The first excavation site was cleaned and expanded further into the hill. No. 8 was also extended, and the nearby access road was repaired.

On the Pyramid of the Sun, significant inroads were made on excavation site no.18. In Section B of the square, on the north-east corner, depths of 2.3 and 2.4 m were reached in excavations. In the south-west corner of the section, the depth achieved at the end of today's digging was 1.4 m. 20 cm of strata was removed, containing a mix of soil, clay and small rocks. There were also traces of burned material found.
